2nd period – please practice.  is anyone actually reading this

3rd period – we are going to have a quiz on everything that we talked about today.  it literally will be the exact same quiz we did in class.

1. havana and matanzas
2. off the coast of florida in the carribbean sea/atlantic ocean
3. the roots may be traced to africa
4. rumba is a rhythm, a dance, and a type of music/song
5. tumba, segundo, quinto
6. congas, clave, blocks, shekere, voice
7. Los Munequitos de Matanzas

4th period we will have a quiz on modes.  you will have to write them.  i will then play two for you to ID.  Symone, if you are reading this and e-mail me tonight you will get an “A” on the quiz.

6th period the homework is due on friday – e-mail if you have a question.  1st page of unit 2 as well as the write up on queen, lyrics, and intro to cuban music (watch the rumba clip).

8th period does anyone actually look at this?  if you raise your hand and ask to sing on friday then you will get 20 pts extra credit.
