3rd – Percussion

• everybody will do this adinkra assignment.  go to Ghana, look at the bottom.  Think of three friends you have in the class and pick a symbol for them.  explain in 5 sentences why you think they fit the specific symbol.
• Kinka Drumming Auditions on MONDAY (10/17) in class.  Paper DUE on monday for anyone that wants to audition.  500 words or less why you feel you are capable and want to.
• IF YOU WANT TO PLAY A DRUM, YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SWITCH BETWEEN EVERY PATTERN FLAWLESSLY!!!  ONLY AUDITION ON THE DRUM YOU WANT TO PLAY ON.  YOU MAY AUDITION ON MULTIPLE DRUMS.  e-mail me if you have a question

4th – Harmony

• Solfege identification for every line on the double chorus piece.
• Identify everything you don’t know.

8th – Music Appreciation

• Finish corrections for note name quiz.  Please notate correct note names on a separate sheet of paper.
