august update!

hello everyone!

happy august to you all!  things are getting exciting here as we prepare for the upcoming school year.

symphonic band camp started today and continues on thursday.  the rehearsal went well and everyone was excited to see the new lockers!

marching band camp is next week (MONDAY 13th – THURSDAY 16th)

• monday-thursday 7:30 am – 11:30 am @ LANE
• drum majors and officers arrive 7 am
• everybody else please arrive at 7:30 am

proposed monday schedule

1. 7 am meeting with drum majors and officers
2. 7:30-8:00 introductory remarks and welcoming speech
3. 8-8:30 warm-ups and organization
4. 8:30-9:15 rehearse Hey Ya!
5. 9:15-9:45 rehearse Party Rock Anthem
6. 9:45-10 BREAK
7. 10-10:30 break down of drill chart and objectives
8. 10:30-11:30 rehearse Party Rock Anthem Dance Routine
9. 11:30 dismissal

what to bring:

• a smile!
• PENCIL!!!!!!!
• Hey Ya! music
• all other music will be handed out (Star Spangled Banner, Go Lane Go, Party Rock Anthem)
• water bottle
• comfortable clothes
• comfortable shoes or marching shoes

2nd post of the summer

hey all!

man!!  how about that heat a while ago!!  i am glad it has cooled down.

speaking of which, here is a pretty hot track.

i hope you all are having a good summer.  i have been unable to log into my school account for a while.  if you need to contact me, do so through wordpress.

my plans are to be gone now until august 5th.  i will e-mail everybody about band camp monday august 6th.

hey all!

way to go on a job well done.  special thanks to everyone that really helped my first year at lane be one to remember.

belinda!!  we will miss you!  please keep in touch.

• going to africa in july
• marching band camp in august
• gigs, weddings, and good times throughout the summer
• seeing you all again in september
